About This Project
A focused breakdown of the Buggy project — documenting the full modelling and texturing pipeline from initial blockout to final Marmoset render.
Topology was constructed with production intent: clean edge flow, appropriate polygon density, and UV islands packed efficiently across 8 × 2048 texture sets.
Substance 3D Painter was used for all PBR materials with a layered approach: base metal, edge wear, dirt accumulation, and rust built in separate mask groups for maintainability.
Key Highlights
- 43,970 faces / 75,778 triangles — production-appropriate density
- 8 × 2048 texture sets (albedo, normal, ORM)
- Layered PBR material approach for maintainability
- Clean UV layout with minimal stretching and efficient texel density
